With Big Data Belfast 2026 just around the corner, Dan West sat down with Roger Woods, professor emeritus at Queen's University Belfast and co-founder of Analytics Engines, for a preview of what's ahead.
Roger has been involved since the first event in 2015, which drew 65 people. Last year it welcomed more than 800. Their conversation looks at how far Northern Ireland has come with data and AI, and what needs to happen over the next five years for the region to make the most of this moment. Skills, collaboration between universities and business, and a bit more ambition all come up along the way.
On the day, expect conversations on everything from AI at the edge and sovereign AI to the future of computing education and smarter infrastructure. Whether you're a business leader, a practitioner or a policymaker, it's a chance to hear from the people shaping what comes next.
