On 22nd October 2019, Modis (www.modis.com) as part of the Adecco Group UK &I, is hosting a seminar on the expected changes to the IR35 legislation, led by key board members. This is a free breakfast event (8.30 – 10.30 am) hosted at The MAC in Belfast.
In the Autumn Budget of 2017, the Government announced that the changes to IR35 would be extended to large and medium-sized organisations in the private sector with effect from 6th April 2020. With only a few months to go before IR35 comes into effect, it’s imperative that all private sector organisations that rely on contractors are prepared for the changes ahead. The seminar will be hosted by the Adecco Group’s Senior Vice President, Simon Crichton and General Counsel, Gavin Tagg. It will be an opportunity to hear about lessons learnt from the public sector and an overview of revisions announced in July 2019.
As SVP for the Adecco Group (www.Adecco.co.uk), Simon Crichton is an experienced leader with expertise in the planning, implementation and delivery of strategic initiatives within a multi-specialism environment. Simon lived and breathed the implementation of the IR35 legislation into the public sector in 2017 and brings a wealth of experience to the seminars.
Gavin Tagg has worked as an in-house Legal Counsel within the recruitment sector for the last 20 years, building in depth knowledge of the market. A respected expert within his field, he has worked closely with HMRC to understand the changes and how they may impact the private sector.
Gavin and Simon will be joined by Dave Harwood, Managing Director of the Adecco Group Solutions who will provide an outline of the Group’s offerings which include delivering a comprehensive range of managed projects and services (as well as project support and IT services) to both the public and private sectors. He will explain the benefits of reassessing how organisations manage and source their workforces in the contact of IR35.
