Cyber Chats : Your Charity & Cyber Essentials Explained

Cyber attacks on charities are rising year on year, with a third of charities reporting a breach in the past 12 months alone. The Cyber Essentials Certification helps charities implement essential cybersecurity measures, significantly reducing the risk of common cyber attacks. Furthermore, for some grants and contracts, having Cyber Essentials in place may even be a listed requirement.

Yet for many trustees, board members and staff, cybersecurity can feel technical, overwhelming and easy to put off. That’s why we’re hosting Cyber Chats with ITUS Protect – a friendly, practical lunchtime learning session designed to uncover what Cyber Essentials is all about, demystify the process and help your charity take its first confident steps towards stronger protection.

What is Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials is a Government-backed certification scheme, developed by the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and IASME Consortium.
