BelTech 2025

Thursday April 10th

The spring conference offers all tech practitioners their day in the sun, and the opportunity to learn from and network with a highly influential audience.

Whether an old hand in the tech sector or a budding new talent, BelTech has a place for everyone with an invitation to technologists from all backgrounds to join us for a full day of talks and discussions on Thursday April 10th. With a key tenet of our conference the celebration of diversity and difference, the BelTech platform is open to all – and we want to see you there.

Our inclusive and participatory approach means gathering our technologists together, getting out from behind our screens to rekindle the fire in the tech community. There is no doubt that ‘community’ is at the heart of the tech eco-system. Connections, conversations – and yes, conferences – thrive on the personal as does the cross-fertilization of ideas which feeds our innovation.

Friday April 11th

BelTech will host 400 Post Primary school children and teachers and will feature a mix of engaging technology demos and conversational sessions.

The conference is an opportunity for students to discover the power of technology and experiment with the cutting-edge tools and technologies that are shaping the future. They will also gain insights from leading industry experts and exciting guest speakers.

2025 Themes

Software Development

The Software Development track explores the art and science of crafting robust software solutions. From foundational programming languages and frameworks to advanced design patterns and architectural techniques, this track offers insights into building scalable, efficient, and maintainable applications

AI - Impact on Engineering

The AI track explores the practical applications of both generative AI and narrow AI within the software industry, highlighting their transformative potential and future directions. Topics include automated code generation, intelligent debugging and testing, as well as enhancing creativity in software development. Additionally, the track examines the critical security considerations surrounding AI integration, such as safeguarding against vulnerabilities introduced by AI-driven code, ensuring data privacy, and addressing ethical and regulatory challenges. This track showcases those at the forefront of advancing generative AI while navigating the complexities of secure and responsible AI adoption in software engineering.

What’s Next?

Being a developer is an extraordinary role, developers have to handle a lot of routine and repetitive tasks, be able to solve problems fast and deliver continuously for customers. The landscape for developers is continually evolving with the introduction of Generative AI assistants so we’ll hear how developers are using these tools to reduce friction and navigate this disruptive change. This track shines a light on some new emerging tech trends and we are excited to welcome students from the Immersive Software Engineering course at University of Limerick, to give BelTech a unique insight into what the next generation see as future trends in software engineering.
