FD Technologies Announces ‘The Spirit Of Brian Conlon Award’ Winners

  • Newry, August 22nd: FD Technologies, the global software and consulting group founded in Newry, has announced the winners of the third “Spirit of Brian Conlon” Awards.

The awards recognise employees whose contribution to the company embodies the core values that the company’s late founder Brian Conlon so passionately believed in, namely a commitment to personal development and learning, good corporate citizenship, and a focus on excellence in customer service and delivery.

For the first time, the 2022 awards have been expanded from one overall winner to recognize the outstanding contribution of four colleagues, one from each of the Group’s three business units (First Derivative, KX and MRP) as well as from the Group itself.

The 2022 winners are: Jill Harshaw, Head of Corporate Tax, FD Technologies (Newry), Jessica McClorey, Project Manager, KX (London), Christina Cunningham, Calypso Automation Lead, First Derivative (Newry) and Alice Careglio, Brand Manager, MRP (Dublin). More information on the winners and why they were chosen can be found here.

Each winner will be invited to participate in a leadership development program of their choice, such as the William J Clinton Leadership Institute at Queens University, Belfast.

Ciaran Conlon, award judge, and Brian’s brother said:  “I was very impressed by both the quantity and calibre of the submissions. All applicants are nominated by their peers, and it was a difficult task to come up with both a shortlist and ultimately each winner. We based our decisions on those employees that we felt best demonstrated Brian's qualities such as demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude, leading by example, and having a client focus with excellence in delivery. Congratulations and well done to the winners.”

Seamus Keating, award judge and CEO of FD Technologies added: “Now in their third year, I’m extremely pleased that we have expanded the awards program to recognize the contribution of more colleagues who embody the principles and attributes that Brian instilled in the business. It was great to read the many nominations and see so many colleagues demonstrating the core values which were so important to Brian, and which continue to be key in driving our business forward.”

In April of this year, the Conlon family launched the Brian Conlon Foundation to celebrate the life and legacy of Brian.
