Outsource secures major trophies at premier business awards

  • Outsource Group and its new chairman won two of the big awards at Northern Ireland’s premier business event.

    The company won Medium-Sized Business of the Year at the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards in the Crowne Plaza, Belfast, and Patrick McAliskey who became Chairman of Outsource last month, won the Lifetime Achievement Award.

    Outsource Group, led by CEO Terry Moore, has had a stellar year. Not only did it secure Patrick McAliskey as chairman, it also recently announced a strategic merger with ANSEC IA to create a powerhouse in security-focused IT managed services.

    Outsource currently employs around 70 people and expects to grow that to over 100 this year. Longer-term, the group has aggressive growth plans at home and abroad, with a number of additional strategic opportunities currently being progressed, which will see staff numbers and revenues continue to grow significantly year-on-year.

    Outsource Group CEO Terry Moore said: “This is great recognition for our team. Our plan is for Outsource Group to be the number one security-focused IT managed services business on these islands and this award is an endorsement from the judging panel that we have the right strategy and are making real progress towards our goal. We’re also delighted for our chairman who everyone knows is one of the top IT entrepreneurs. Patrick is incredibly deserving of the award and it is a great tribute to his skill, expertise and contribution to business in Northern Ireland.”

    The other big winner at the awards was Almac who won the Overall Business of the Year Award.
