Dell Technologies joins forces with Big Data Belfast to highlight ways to accelerate digital transformation in NI

  • Dell Technologies has been announced as a sponsor of one of Northern Ireland’s largest technology conferences, Big Data Belfast.

    In joining forces with Big Data Belfast, Dell will help showcase the role of new technologies including AI and Edge Computing in scaling up the success of Northern Ireland businesses and in supporting the public sector organisations to roll out digital public services.

    Jason Ward, Vice-President and MD of Dell Technologies Ireland and Northern Ireland will give his insights into the growing importance of data in delivering business benefits and the new technologies that are driving innovation in a data-driven age.

    As a global expert on AI, the Internet of Things and Blockchain, Chief Digital Transformation Officer at Dell, Dr John O’Shea will also address attendees to provide insights into how advancements in Edge Computing and other technologies are enabling the emergence of digital twins, which are set to transform everything from smart city planning to improving healthcare. A digital twin is a virtual model designed to accurately reflect a physical object.
