Esri Ireland named as one of Ireland’s Best Small Workplaces

  • Esri Ireland, the market leader in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), has been named in second place on the Best Small Workplace in Ireland list for 2022. The company was recognised at the 20th annual Great Place to Work Ireland Awards, which took place during a virtual broadcast.

This is Esri Ireland’s sixth consecutive year to be named as a top Irish workplace. The rankings are assessed through direct feedback from employees, provided as part of Great Place to Work’s extensive and anonymous trust survey about the workplace experience, and a culture audit of their policies and practices.

Esri Ireland is committed to making the company a great place to work and is currently on an upward trajectory with a Make it Count 2021–2025 business strategy. A focus on employee wellbeing is central to this plan, underpinned by growth aspiration statements of building trust, doing right by each other, learning and growing, embracing belonging, living green and giving back, and making a difference.

Joanne McLaughlin, Head of Marketing, Esri Ireland, said: “We are thrilled to once again be named as a Best Workplace in Ireland for 2022. This award is testament to the hard work and dedication of our Great Place to Work Strategy Team over the past six years, and particularly throughout the last two years, which have been difficult and challenging for all.

“Our Strategy Team has grown to include nine Practice Champions, which is an acknowledgement of our engagement and commitment to the Great Place to Work programme. Our culture is underpinned by our Make It Count strategy and we are delighted with this recognition for all.”

Cathal Divilly, CEO, Great Place to Work Ireland: "In a year that looked like a second edition of the previous one, putting people at the centre of organisations' strategies has been more challenging than ever. More than keeping the businesses economically on track, companies have faced numerous changes in health restrictions that have constantly required flexibility, adaptation, and resilience. Coping with digital fatigue and mental health difficulties among the teams has been an extra concern for leadership teams.

“Organisations that had invested in their culture and people before the pandemic have overcome these challenges with flying colours. Being recognised as one of Ireland’s Best Workplaces 2022 demonstrates these organisations commitment to improving their culture and putting their people first, whatever challenges they face. Ireland’s Best Workplaces can be very proud of their achievement in this particular year and have shown once again that working on the basics and with committed leadership dialled in on improving their culture will reap rewards when it comes to talent attraction and retention.

“Each and every organisation on this year’s list has reason to celebrate: I’d like to take the time to say congratulations to all of Ireland’s Best Workplaces 2022!"
