A couple from Holywood is preparing to revolutionise the personal training industry by combining in-home training sessions with a new digital platform aimed at improving health and fitness through an app.
Carlos Leal Pesudo (34) and his partner Sarah Kirkland (31) have created Training For Time, a new app and website that offers bespoke, custom-built training and nutrition programmes.
The local couple’s aim is to give people in North Down knowledge so they can continue to train and eat well independently in the future.
Carlos and Sarah will personally guide customers, both online and in person, throughout their health journey.

The Training For Time programmes, available through the couple’s website, aims to improve the lifestyle of people by helping them make positive changes to the way they live, resulting in a more positive, happy life.
Training For Time uses a personal, long-term, and sustainable approach to health and fitness focused on simply encouraging people to make better lifestyle choices. It offers personal training and nutrition advice through one-to-one, personal sessions in a client’s home or virtually, via the app.
Clients choosing to train in their home will receive a visit from the Training For Time team, who will also bring all necessary equipment for the session. Clients using the app will be guided through workouts and diet plans through a 24/7 video and messaging service.

Speaking on the launch of the new venture, Carlos, who has been a personal trainer for more than a decade, said: “We’re different to other personal training services because we’re not focused on quick, unsustainable fixes to lifestyle problems. Instead, we are focused on helping people to make better and healthier choices to improve their overall lifestyle.”
Sarah added: “Our goal is to help people to gain as many skills and as much knowledge as possible, so that they can become independent and use what they learn with us to make healthier choices for the rest of their lives.”
The app will offer events, workouts and expert tips, as well as a space to upload a photo diary of meals for feedback and advice on portion size, macros and more.
Training For Time also provides access to easy-to-read charts for instant feedback on daily activity, food diary, habit adherence, body circumference measurements, weight, and so much more.
