Business Breakfast Series to set NI managers up for more than just the day

  • Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NI Chamber) and Bank of Ireland UK have launched a new Business Breakfast Series which will provide managers across critical business functions with the opportunity to learn from their peers.

It is a new addition to the membership organisation’s established suite of Learn Grow Excel business support programmes.

Kicking off on Friday 18 June, the first event in the series is specifically for those working in HR and People Management roles. With expert speakers from GES Group, CDE Global, Frylite and Bank of Ireland, it will explore the importance of employee empowerment and wellbeing.

Tanya Anderson, Head of International and Business Support at NI Chamber explains why the new series is needed:

“Throughout the past 15 months SMEs have continued to benefit from the peer learning opportunities afforded by NI Chamber’s Business Support programmes and considerably value this type of interaction. This series has been brought to life to provide targeted peer learning within particular business functions and to facilitate new, valuable business connections.

“The short, sharp sessions will all be delivered online early in the morning and are designed to help set attendees up not just for the day, but for the challenges of the months ahead. The events are function, rather than sector-specific, so are open to people working across all industries. We are therefore inviting people with responsibility for workforce wellbeing to join us in June, with plans to host similar sessions for Managers in Finance and Business Development roles in the near future too.”

Mark Cunningham, Head of Regional Business Centre’s, Business Banking NI at Bank of Ireland UK added:

“The Business Breakfast Series is purpose built, spotlighting on key business themes essential to SMEs as they reopen and rebuild through 2021 and beyond. Our collaboration with NI Chamber on this series is a natural fit with our ambition to work as a valued partner with businesses not only in providing funding supports but also to offer access to advice and support, building business confidence for growth. Our Business Banking team are committed to continuing to support local businesses who are key contributors to the Northern Ireland economy and are crucial for growth and employment.”

The Learn Grow Excel programme is delivered with the support of SME Partner, Power NI.
