Almac Group appoints Julie Shannon as Vice President and Deputy Head of Information Services

  • Almac Group, the contract development and manufacturing organisation, has announced the global appointment of Julie Shannon as Vice President and Deputy Head of Information Services (IS).

In her role as VP, Julie will continue to support the Group’s Global Vice President & Group Head of Information Services, Andy Hillis. She will oversee the continuous streamlining, simplification and improvement of processes, with a view to removing non-value adding tasks thereby improving delivery across the entire department.

This will ensure the IT operating model provides the best value to Almac by understanding current and future technology needs.

She will also provide executive-level leadership and guidance to Almac’s IS operations which provides support for over 4,000 global users.

Having spent time working for multinational information technology equipment and services company, Fujitsu, Julie joined the Almac IS team in 2001 and has been a key member throughout. Most recently she served as Group IS Support Manager where she led a global team to support Almac’s IS infrastructure, network, databases, systems and hardware.
