Couple-led Warrenpoint firm secure major NI supply deal with Boots

  • Warrenpoint food firm Deli Lites will be the first local company to supply Boots stores in Northern Ireland with sandwiches.

The pharmacy-led health and beauty retailer previously relied on Great Britain-based suppliers.

Founded by couple Brian and Jackie Reid in 1998, Deli Lites has worked with Boots in the Republic of Ireland for four years.

The company employs a team of almost 300 people and supplies a range of products to other retailers such as Tesco, Sainsbury's and Costa, making more than 20m products every year to sell across Europe including bakery treats and heat-to-eat meals.

CEO Brian said that the partnership “is an exciting opportunity for us to profile our ranges and work together on new products over the coming years."

“Given the supply chain benefits and the ‘source local’ advantage, it is of mutual benefit to both companies to be working together at this time,” he added.

In September 2020 Brian Reid was also honoured in the 2020 Institute of Directors Awards when he was named International Director of the Year.
