bright energy customers can now top-up with Payzone and Post Office

  • From today (7 Jan) all Payzone retailers and Post Office branches in Northern Ireland will be able to process top-up payments for new renewable electricity provider bright’s customers.

Bright is powered only by wind, solar, bio and hydro.

The partnership with Payzone and Post Office is expected to drive footfall for retailers, as customers come in store to top up and pay for electricity using their pre-paid cards.

Simon Lambert, Commercial Director for Payzone Bill Payments Limited, said: “Bright has a distinctive USP, tapping the demand for renewable electricity in an increasingly popular market, one which we believe will be an attractive option for customers and will ultimately increase footfall for Payzone retailers and Post Office branches.”

Ciaran Devine, CEO at bright added: "A key part of our offering is simplicity and when it comes to topping up, being accessible, whether via a Payzone outlet or Post Office or via the bright app, means we make it easy for consumers to do this whatever their preference.

“After successfully launching in Ireland in July 2020, we are excited to now offer our renewable, affordable electricity on one simple tariff to members across Northern Ireland.  We have no doubt that this partnership will add massive value for bright customers and help us on our mission to make renewable electricity affordable and fair for all.”
