20 new PwC Assured Skills Academy places open, with guaranteed job interviews

  • PwC has launched 20 more training places in its Future Business Skills Academy, offering graduates the opportunity to reskill into tech.

With unemployment on the rise and many graduates currently furloughed or looking to upskill into another industry, one avenue people should keep their eye on is Assured Skills. These training programmes run throughout the year in partnership with various major tech firms in Northern Ireland, offering training and guaranteed job interviews.

The PwC Future Business Skills Academy has just re-opened with 20 new spots, with a deadline of December 18th for applications. Industry-relevant training will be delivered by Belfast Met, and all successful applicants who complete the course will get both an industry-recognised qualification and a guaranteed job interview for a role at PwC's Belfast office.

The programme will pay successful applicants a training bursary of £150 per week, in addition to reimbursements for any travel expenses and sometimes childcare cover. This year's scheme will be delivered mostly remotely due to Covid-19, but some classes may be set in a Belfast Met campus.

Applicants must be over 18 and eligible to work in the UK, and must have at least a 2:2 degree qualification in any subject to apply. Skills covered by the training include project management, business analysis, business acumen, and CIMA fundamentals in financial accounting. The job being applied for will involve financial crime, compliance testing, customer management, PMO Services, and business operations.

The diverse training people receive during the Future Business Skills Academy is excellent preparation to help launch people with degrees onto the next part of their career journey."

The deadline for applications is December 18th 2020, with video interviews to be held from January 12th to January 14th next year, and the training beginning on February 1st. For more information or to apply for the programme, head over to https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/assured-skills.
