  • Local tech entrepreneur, Jonathan Smyth, has been selected to exhibit his innovative ring sizing app at the world’s biggest tech conference, Web Summit 2020.

Having recently completed his MSc in Software Development from Queen’s University during the current pandemic, Jonathan used the idea developed for his dissertation to create Linc Technology.

“I have created a ring sizing system that measures digits using image recognition technology. It lets a customer purchase a ring from anywhere in the world by taking one picture on your smartphone, it’s a great opportunity to showcase this innovation at Web Summit 2020,” he said.

With support from QUB and Raise Ventures, Johnathan added that he has garnered interest in his technology from luxury jewellers and smart ring companies and believes Web Summit 2020 will be a great platform to network.

This will profile Linc on the Web Summit event app and website alongside many other global start-ups.
