Raspberry Jam to host an afternoon of virtual STEM talks for kids during NIDC 2020

  • NI Raspberry Jam will be running a series of STEM virtual talks and workshops for kids next month as part of NIDC 2020.

Northern Ireland Raspberry Jam has been an important part of the youth tech scene in Northern Ireland for the past 7 years, hosting regular events for kids exploring all aspects of technology and programming. Representatives from tech companies regularly come in to give STEM talks on the different tech careers they can aim for.

The group's large events typically draw a crowd of around 150 students, but it hasn't been able to meet since the coronavirus lockdown started. Now Raspberry jam is going virtual with an afternoon of STEM talks and workshops for kids on October 10th in conjunction with Northern Ireland Developer Conference (NIDC 2020).

October's event will feature programming workshops and presentations from local industry talent about their roles in industry. If you work in tech and have an idea for a talk, workshop, or demo you'd like to show at the event, you can send in a proposal now via the proposal form.
