This year's Northern Ireland Developer Conference will be a free online event. Submissions for talk proposals is open until midnight tonight.
Northern Ireland Developer Conference (NI Dev Conf for short, or NIDC) has been an important part of the Northern Ireland tech secene in recent years, bringing together people from our local tech firms to learn about some of the cool tech projects going on here in Northern Ireland. It also gives students and recent graduates an opportunity to see what's going on inside the local tech firms and apply for jobs.
People sign up to give short talks on their area of expertise, the projects they've been working on, or an area of tech that they find really important. Last year's event had some fantastic talks on everything from working with certain Javascript APIs or accessibility in software engineering to getting started in game development or how AI is helping Axial3D turn medical scans into 3d prints.
This year's event has been announced as an online event that will take place on the 9th and 10th of October this year, and the call has gone out for talks. Anyone working in tech can submit a talk proposal about any topic they think will be relevant to developers in Northern Ireland, and the submissions will be anonymised before being reviewed.
Today is the last day you can apply to submit your talk proposal, so head over to the NI Dev Conf website before midnight tonight if you have something cool you'd like to talk about. Speakers always get access to the event for free, and this year the entire event is going free as it's taking place online. Head over to the NI Dev Conf eventbrite page to get your free ticket for the event.
