Belfast-based cyber security companies Ampliphae, Angoka, Audit Comply and Uleska are among 22 UK companies accepted to the scale-up programme.
Tech Nation's Cyber programme aims to help early stage cyber security companies scale up, growing their companies locally and expanding internationally. Cyber security is a highly global field, and Belfast's startups have been competing on the world stage with clients around the world. Four Belfast-based scaleups have now joined the programme: Ampliphae, Angoka, Audit Comply and Uleska
Belfast-based firms make up over 18% of the 22 UK companies joining this cohort of the programme, which comes as no surprise as US firms continue to eye up Belfast as a global cyber security hub. Last year's cohort also contained Belfast-based firm SaltDNA, which offered a secure communication platform that helps prevent information leaks from private conversations.
The programme will help these companies bring their offering to major international clients and secure the contracts and investment they need to grow to the next stage. It's supported by industry partners CBRE, RSM, Talent Works International and Wilson Sonsini.
Tech Nation's Entrepreneur Engagement Manager for Northern Ireland, Gary Davidson, commented on the announcement: "It brings me so much joy to see Uleska, AuditComply, Angoka & Ampliphae join Tech Nation’s flagship Cyber 2.0 programme. Four Northern Irisih companies joining the 2020 cohort is a real testament to the pure strength of our Cyber Security Cluster & I can’t wait to see what happens next."
