Esri Ireland was awarded ‘Best Small Workplace in Ireland in 2020’ at the 18th annual ‘Great Place to Work’ awards in Dublin on Wednesday 26 February.
The geographic information systems (GIS) mapping software firm also picked up a ‘Best Team’ award.
This marks the fourth consecutive year that Esri Ireland has been named as a top Irish workplace, rising to the top spot from last year’s second place.
The company finished sixth place in 2018 and thirteenth in 2017.
Participating workplaces are assessed through ‘Great Place to Work’s employee ‘Trust Index’ survey and a thorough ‘Culture Audit’ assessment of their policies and practices.

Paul Synnott, managing director at Esri Ireland said: “This is an amazing achievement for the entire Esri Ireland team and we are absolutely thrilled to be named as the number one small workplace in Ireland, as well as picking up a Best Team Award.
“Over the last number of years, we have established a Great Place to Work team to develop and implement a range of practices in the business to drive an inclusive, collaborative and supporting internal culture. This award recognises the hard work of that team and we will continue to place employee trust at the very heart of our culture.”
