Acorn IT Solutions named Sage Ireland Partner of the Year

  • Coleraine-based IT firm Acorn IT Solutions has been named "Sage 200cloud Partner of the Year" and "Overall Partner of the Year" at the annual Sage Ireland awards.

Local IT company Acorn IT Solutions has had a great 2019, growing its staff and taking part in the Career Encode Ireland-wide IT apprenticeship scheme. This week the company announced that it's also reached a new personal height as it's been named both the "Sage 200cloud Partner of the Year" and "Overall Partner of the Year" for 2019 at Sage Ireland's recent awards.

Sage's products are used across a wide range of industries and by everyone from SMEs to multi-national firms, providing cloud accounting and book-keeping software, HR solutions, CRM solutions, and payroll software. Its Sage 200cloud solution is used by businesses to manage accounts, customers and business intelligence all in one place.

Acorn IT Solutions is an official Sage business partner and works with companies to integrate Sage solutions into their business practices from its offices in Kilrea Coleraine and Dublin. The team celebrated several major contracts this year to implement and support Sage200cloud in businesses such as Tullyglass House Hotel in Ballymena, local electricity provider Budget Energy, local construction company Edgewater Contracts & Specialist Joinery.

The firm is now working with Cycling Ireland, the official governing body for cycling in Ireland, to organise its complex web of departments, activities, and 26,000 members. The group manages Ireland's Olympic level cycling team and organises events across the country, and it's hoped that using Sage 200cloud will help it get tighter financial control and do more with its budget.

Cycling Ireland's CFO Frank Keenan spoke highly of Acorn's delivery of the project: "From the initial meetings with the Acorn team, they listened to what we needed, presented their vision of the solution to us and through their consultative approach with the implementation, guided us and held our hands through the project to a successful conclusion."
