Twitter is making it easier to create threads

  • Twitter has introduced a new feature called ‘Continue Thread’ to link two or more tweets together. Basically it means you won’t need to click on your own tweet and reply to it to turn it into a thread anymore.

The user now has the option of sliding up to view previous tweets which includes most recent posts and well as old ones. Once you pick an older tweet, you’ll spot a new “Continue thread” button — pressing this will connect your current tweet to an earlier tweet.

The feature is rolling out today but may take time to show up for everyone. It comes a day after Twitter confirmed its acquisition of Chroma Labs, the company that created Facebook and Instagram’s photo and video editors.

You may be familiar with it as it allows individuals and businesses worldwide create millions of stories with the Chroma Stories app. All seven members of Chroma Stories will now join Twitter’s product, design and engineering team to be part of the “Conversations division”.

Twitter has not released the details, terms and price of the deal as of yet.

Although the company has been acquired by Twitter, users would still be able to use the Chroma Stories app to create new stories if the app is already installed on your iPhone. However, the future versions of the app will not be available to users.
