New launch date for Disney+ in the UK and Ireland

  • The Disney+ streaming service will now launch in the UK and Ireland a week earlier than planned, on March 24th.

    The Walt Disney Company's new product was originally set to be available to British and Irish consumers from March 31st.

    From March 24th Disney + will also launch in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, and Switzerland.

    For Northern Irish and UK wide customers to access content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and more, the streaming service will cost £5.99 per month or £59.99 for an annual subscription.

    Pricing for Irish and other European customers has been confirmed at €6.99 for a monthly subscription or €69.99 per annum.

    Subscribers will be able to access Disney+ on nearly all major mobile and connected TV devices at launch, including gaming consoles, streaming media players, and smart TVs.

    Users will have access to commercial-free viewing on up to four concurrent streams, unlimited downloads on up to ten devices, personalised recommendations, and the ability to set up to seven different profiles. This includes the ability for parents to set profiles for their children to access age-appropriate content.
