STATSports co-founder to deliver Newry Chamber keynote address

  • STATSports' co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer Sean O’Connor will deliver a keynote address at next month's Newry Chamber of Commerce and Trade’s Annual President’s Banquet.

    The Newry-based sports tech company, which specialises in GPS tracking technology to monitor the performance of athletes, is currently being implemented in many professional sports, including Rugby Union and football.

    At the recent Rugby World Cup in Japan, 12 out of the 20 teams were using the company's GPS tracking technology.

    “From the top Premiership and European football teams, to our own Irish International Rugby Team and many other teams at this year’s Rugby World Cup, STATSports is the leading provider of GPS player tracking and analysis solutions," said President of Newry Chamber, Paul Convery.

    "This year’s President’s Banquet provides a unique opportunity to hear from their Co-Founder as to how a company located in the heart of Newry can provide world-leading technological innovation to many of the world’s elite sporting organisations."

    This year’s Newry Chamber of Commerce and Trade’s, Annual President’s Banquet will focus on the legacy being built in the city by companies like STATSports and the combined energy of the many local and global companies building an economic legacy for the region’s young people.

    The banquet, which is on Thursday 14 November in the Canal Court Hotel is expecting more than 300 guests from businesses across the Greater Newry Area.
