Invest NI offers NI businesses a boost with new London hub

  • Invest NI has opened a new trade, investment and innovation hub in London city to support Northern Ireland businesses, in the hope of driving exports and increasing competitiveness.

The hub, which will give businesses access to hot desks, meeting rooms, a large conference room and an event space for up to 55 people is located on Dominion Street, Moorgate in London City.

Making the announcement, Alastair Hamilton, Invest NI’s CEO said: “Located in the heart of London city, this new hub is a home away from home. It will offer entrepreneurs and business people a physical space to host business meetings, network, innovate and showcase their products and services and will play a critical role in attracting further investment to Northern Ireland.”

The London hub is the first of three hubs planned in key locations. The hubs will support the delivery of Invest NI’s International Strategy and the International Trade Plan announced by former Economy Minister Simon Hamilton in 2016.

He stated: “It is vital that we provide the right support to Northern Ireland businesses to enable them to expand, generate new business, grow exports and drive higher levels of innovation.  We have already increased our presence to 24 locations around the world and are building on that with these new business hubs.

“The future long term growth of the Northern Ireland economy depends on boosting external sales in international markets. Providing the right tools and support to help businesses reach new markets is our main focus.”

The space, which features images of artists, writers and famous faces from Northern Ireland in its design will operate on a membership basis, enabling businesses to book meeting rooms as required.
