Dungannon-headquartered Kiverco has just secured new business in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) worth nearly £3 million with waste management company Dulsco.

Kiverco provides customers with recycling solutions and designs, engineers and builds recycling plants for the waste processing industry.

Paul Carolan, General Manager at Kiverco said: “The recycling industry is changing dramatically driven largely by the requirement for better purity levels in output. We have been building recycling plants for over 25 years and our product design has had to constantly evolve with changes in the marketplace.

“We know we have great products that can meet the demands of customers and are keen to grow the business into new markets. Invest NI’s support has been invaluable in helping us win this new business, and establish important partnerships in other markets.”

Invest NI’s trade support has also helped Kiverco explore the Polish market. The company has now appointed a new distributor in Poland to expand its existing partner network and grow business in Europe.

“Winning this new contact in UAE is a huge step for us,” continued Paul. “We have done our research, participated on Invest NI visit programmes to explore the opportunities and it is now paying off as we secure new business.”

Steve Harper, Executive Director of International Business at Invest Northern Ireland said: “Our teams both here and in UAE have supported Kiverco to explore new markets and ultimately help secure this new business in UAE.

“Our UAE team met with Dulsco, a major UAE recycling operator, a couple of years ago and recognised the potential for a trade deal for an NI company. We organised an inward visit to Northern Ireland to showcase the strengths of our recycling sector and as part of this made introductions to Kiverco.

“I am delighted that this has led to the company winning such an important and lucrative contract.”
