US tech firm Unosquare announce Belfast office expansion

  • US-based digital transformation provider Unosquare has announced plans to expand its Belfast office and hire additional staff thanks to great performance in Northern Ireland.

Unosquare's CEO Giancarlo Di Vece will be speaking tomorrow at Digital DNA in Belfast, where he may give more details on the company's recent great performance in Belfast and new plans to expand its Belfast cohort with a new round of hiring. The company originally planned to expand its Belfast team by 100 staff before the end of the year, but now expects to exceed this number.

Di Vece explained that one of the primary reasons Unosquare chose Belfast as its base in Europe was because of the high quality of tech staff they could source here, which has contributed to the company's success in the region. "We looked at six different countries," he said, "and Northern Ireland was a perfect fit for our vision of a global distributed Agile augmentation company that’s committed to generating well-being in every region its works in."

He also credits meetups and events such as Digital DNA with helping to foster a thriving tech community in Northern Ireland, and will himself be delivering a keynote speech and taking part in panel discussions at Digital DNA this week. "Events like Digital DNA are critical to developing the local technology community. It’s important for leaders to come together for knowledge sharing – by learning from each other, we can all rise together."
