Audiovisual tech firm Fluid AV plans to invest £600k and hire new staff

  • Local audiovisual equipment specialist Fluid AV is expanding quickly thanks to a surge in international working relationships between tech companies and the rise of remote work.

As the NI tech scene grows and becomes more global in nature, the need for supporting services such as business and financial services is naturally on the rise too. Since every global business invariably needs to set up video conferencing systems and kit out meeting rooms to be ready to deliver presentations, firms such as Fluid AV are seeing increased demand for their services.

The Belfast-based company has been around since 2006 under the name Mayne Communications Ltd but rebranded to Fluid AV back in Februrary. The company offers services ranging from video conferencing and meeting room setup to digital signage, touch screens, and sound masking to restore a sense of privacy to open plan offices.

The re-brand seems like it is paying off for Fluid AV, as the company was able to invest £150k to date in their new office. The new premises includes a multi-function room to demonstrate some of the most cutting-edge and intuitive audio visual advances in the market to prospective clients. These innovative approaches are part of plans to invest around £600k over the next three years in the development of the business and hire seven additional AV experts, with a mix of senior and junior positions expected.

Managing Director Stephen Mayne explained the optimistic expansion plans, saying "We are seeing a large increase in demand for collaborative meeting spaces, video conferencing solutions and digital signage within the workplace. This is due to the upsurge of remote employees, as well as an increase in international working relationships that rely on video conferencing and the desire to have information instantaneously."
