Firstsource Solutions announces £1m Belfast investment

  • Firstsource Solutions has announced plans to invest £1 million in its Belfast operations to create a new hub in the city centre.

Business process management firm Firstsource Solutions is planning a £1m refurbishment of the Olive Tree House building on Fountain Street as part of its ongoing expansion in Belfast. The newly refurbished building will become a new hub for the company's Belfast operations, with plans in place to create up to 450 potential job opportunities.

The new building has capacity to house 600 employees total, with 150 already relocated to work there. It will support Firstsource's ongoing growth locally, with up to 450 job opportunities across customer service, human resources, IT, and management roles. The staff in Olive Tree House currently provide customer support for Sky customers in the Republic of Ireland.

Firstsource's Chief Operational Officer for Customer Management Sean Canning spoke positively about the move: "Our new location at Olive Tree House is a welcome addition to a part of the city where commercial businesses have struggled in recent months due to the well-publicised fire at Primark. We are looking forward to bringing footfall back into this area and supporting local businesses further."
