  • Geographic information systems company Esri Ireland has been named one of the Best Small Workplaces in Ireland in 2019.

The 17th annual Great Place to Work Best Workplaces in Ireland awards took place last week in Dublin, and Esri Ireland has won big again. The geographic information systems firm was ranked second in the list of Best Small Workplaces in Ireland category, winning the award for the third time. Esri previously came 13th in 2017 and rose to 6th place last year before finally hitting second place this year.

Great Place to Work Ireland is part of a global network of culture consultants that publishes standardised lists of country-wide, regional, and global rankings such as the the Fortune 100 list. Its work is important in identifying the internal trust within a company, which is an important factor in making a workplace a great place to work. The award rankings are created using a combination of a 'Culture Audit' assessment of the organisation's policies and practices and the Great Place to Work’s 'Trust Index' gathered via employee surveys.

Paul Synnott, Director & Country Manager, Esri Ireland commented on the win, saying "We are delighted to be recognised as one of the Best Workplaces in Ireland for three consecutive years and to have jumped up the rankings to 2nd place this year is immensely satisfying for the whole team. We’re deeply proud of our workplace culture and employee wellbeing is a top priority for us. Everyone in the Esri Ireland team has played a huge role in achieving this fantastic award."
