Invest NI launches "Get Ready for Brexit" campaign

  • Invest NI's Chief Executive chief Alastair Hamilton has announced the Get Ready for Brexit campaign outlining Invest NI support available to help businesses build resilience into their operations ahead of Brexit.

The UK will exit the EU on March 29th at the end of this month, but businesses across the country still don't know what the final arrangements they will have to operate under will look like. A recent NI Chamber report indicated that around half of Northern Irish businesses will be negatively impacted by Brexit, and that over half haven't been able to put plans in place to mitigate the disruption it will cause.

Bank of Ireland recently launched a massive £1.75bn fund to help businesses mitigate the damage caused by Brexit, and now Invest Northern Ireland has stepped in with an offer of help for those planning in these uncertain business conditions. Chief Executive Alastair Hamilton announced the plans this week in the video below.

The support includes a new Get Ready for Brexit website, an online assessment tool to work out the impact Brexit will have on your business, a series of regional workshops to help businesses get ready, and a Brexit Preparation Grant scheme to provide assistance to Invest NI clients for planning.
