Sentinus Digital Futures 2026

Digital Futures 2026, Sentinus' flagship tech competition for schools in Northern Ireland, supported by Allstate.

It involves Year 10 students work in teams to design, build and pitch an "App of the Future" prototype. It's a hands-on way for young people to develop their digital, creative and presentation skills while seeing what a career in tech could look like.

What's involved

• one team of up to 4 Year 10 students, plus a teacher, per school
• Free in-school workshop: a 2-hour session delivered by Sentinus on Design Thinking and App Development (w/c 16 October)
• Semi-final: teams pitch their app Dragons' Den–style at PwC Belfast (w/c 7 December 2026, 10am–2pm, exact date TBC)
• Grand final: selected teams pitch at Allstate Belfast (w/c 14 December 2026, 5pm–7pm, exact date TBC)

The prize
The winning team and their teacher will spend 4 days in New York City in March 2027, with flights and accommodation paid, visiting some of the world's best-known tech companies. Last year's winners, Unstitched, made the trip, and it was a fantastic experience for everyone involved.
