LIBERTY IT Managing Director Tony Marron has been appointed Global Engineering Capability Lead of parent company, Liberty Mutual Insurance, expanding his leadership remit across the Fortune 100 insurer’s global technology organisation.
Alongside continuing to lead Liberty IT, with over 900 employees across the island of Ireland and offices in Belfast, Dublin and Galway, Tony will help shape the strategic direction of engineering across Liberty Mutual, setting the practices and ways of working that define how AI is reshaping customer and employee experience.
Reporting to Liberty Mutual's Global Chief Information Officer, Monica Caldas, he will also provide leadership and direction to the 5,500 engineers across Liberty Mutual worldwide, strengthening engineering capability, culture and maturity. His focus will be on embedding a consistent approach to engineering excellence across teams and advancing how technology is developed throughout the organisation.

Tony brings extensive leadership and engineering experience to the global role, having joined Liberty IT as a software engineer in 2001 and progressed through a range of senior positions, including Senior Director of Emerging Business and Technology, before being appointed Managing Director in 2021.
