Deadline Approaching for Businesses to Compete for Top Honours at Belfast Business Awards

  • Belfast Chamber is encouraging businesses across the city to enter the Belfast Business Awards 2026, in partnership with Bank of Ireland, with less than one month remaining before entries close.

Now in their 11th year, the awards celebrate the innovation, ambition and achievements of the organisations and individuals driving Belfast's economy. Winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on Friday 16th October at ICC Belfast, hosted by popular comedian Emer Maguire, bringing together hundreds of business leaders from across Northern Ireland.

New for 2026 are the Excellence in Sustainability and Independent Hospitality awards, recognising organisations leading the way in environmental responsibility and celebrating the city's vibrant independent hospitality sector. They join established categories including Best New Business, Employee of the Year and Business Leader of the Year.

Organisations and individuals have until Friday 28th August to enter, with entries to be submitted via belfastchamber.com/awards.

Clare Guinness, CEO of Belfast Chamber, said:

"The Belfast Business Awards are about celebrating the people, businesses and organisations that are driving our city forward. Every year we're inspired by the quality of entries and the incredible stories of innovation, resilience and success taking place across Belfast.

"With less than a month to go until entries close, I'd encourage businesses not to leave it too late. Whether you're an ambitious start-up, an established employer, an inspiring business leader or a business making a positive impact in your community, these awards are an opportunity to showcase your achievements, gain valuable recognition and celebrate the contribution you're making to our city."

Paul McClurg, Head of Belfast Business Banking at Bank of Ireland, added:

"Bank of Ireland is proud to continue our successful partnership with the Belfast Chamber Business Awards as the programme celebrates its 11th year. For more than 200 years, we have been supporting businesses, entrepreneurs and communities across Belfast, and we know first-hand the innovation and ambition that exists throughout the city's business community.

“Behind every successful business is a story of hard work, determination and progress, and with the entry deadline now fast approaching, organisations of all sizes and from every sector should put themselves forward and gain the recognition they deserve."

Beyond celebrating business success, the Belfast Business Awards continue to make a positive impact within the wider community. Each year the programme supports a local charity, with funds raised in 2026 going to Foodstock, helping the charity continue its work tackling poverty and empowering individuals and families across communities in Belfast.

Businesses based in, or doing business in, Belfast are invited to enter the awards free of charge. The awards are open to both Belfast Chamber members and non-members.
