“River House is the perfect space to nurture the growth ambitions of corporate clients. We have recently welcomed our first corporate tenant, TLT, who have leased the top two floors of the building to accommodate the growth in their business and employee numbers"
Fund management company Castleforge Partners announced this week that its multi-million-pound investment in Belfast's River House has been completed. The building was purchased in 2016 and officially re-opened yesterday following extensive refurbishment. The 13-floor building was a former PSNI building, and now supports a capacity of 1,000 employees throughout its co-working spaces and dedicated private office spaces.
“Our commitment to Belfast and its future economic growth is clear," explained Rachael Pittaway of Castleforge Partners. "Since we purchased the building, we have upgraded every aspect of it to the highest specification, making it the only Grade A serviced office facility in Cathedral Quarter. We looked at the reasons why companies come to Belfast and Northern Ireland-the highly skilled workforce and the relatively affordable cost of living- and we wanted to capitalise on the projected growth in overseas businesses locating here. River House is the perfect space to nurture the growth ambitions of corporate clients."
River House now includes a five-floor co-working space for small to medium-sized companies that want to be positioned in the city centre but without the extravagant costs of the traditional city-based working spaces, and the top two floors have recently been taken up by the building's first corporate tenant, TLT. River House has been one of the first significant commercial developments in the city which has come to fruition, with state-of-the-art meeting rooms, coffee bars and a rooftop terrace accessible for all tenants.
“Our Belfast team had watched the development of River House with excitement and we jumped at the opportunity to hold our national conference in their events facility. Around 60 employees from all over the UK attended and no other venue in Belfast could offer what they could, right in the heart of the city”, states CBRE, property agent who recently held the UK National Office Agency at River House.
This co-working space is an affordable, dynamic, and vibrant working space which has been a real step forward for commercial development within the city. For anyone looking for an alternative event space to a traditional function space or a hotel environment, River House is also definitely worth consideration.
