Precision Engineering, Metal Fabrication and Specialised finishing company The Exact Group has achieved Cyber Essentials Plus certification, the highest level of the UK Government-backed Cyber Essentials scheme, reinforcing its commitment to cybersecurity, operational resilience and secure supply chain management.
Administered by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and delivered through IASME Consortium, Cyber Essentials Plus is an independently verified certification designed to assess an organisation’s ability to defend against common cyber threats, including phishing, malware and ransomware attacks.
Employing rigorous hands-on technical testing by an accredited external assessor, the process includes vulnerability scanning, malware testing, device sampling and independent verification of security controls across the organisation’s IT infrastructure.

The certification confirms Exact Group’s implementation of five key security controls:
Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation further strengthens Exact Group’s position as a trusted manufacturing and engineering partner operating within increasingly security-conscious and highly regulated sectors, including advanced manufacturing, aerospace, defence and industrial technology.
Ronan Callan, Operations Director at Exact Group, said:
“This is a significant accomplishment for our business and reflects the investment we continue to make in protecting our systems, operations and customer data. Cybersecurity is now a fundamental requirement across manufacturing and engineering supply chains, particularly where sensitive information, intellectual property and connected systems are involved.
“For our customers and partners, it provides additional assurance that Exact Group operates to the highest standards of cyber hygiene and operational resilience while positioning us strongly for future growth opportunities.”
Cyber Essentials Plus certification is increasingly required by major contractors, government bodies and multinational organisations as part of procurement and supplier approval processes. The accreditation enhances Exact Group’s ability to compete for larger and more complex projects across the UK and international markets.
By independently validating its cybersecurity measures, Exact Group also reduces exposure to risks such as ransomware, credential theft and unauthorised system access, helping to protect shared data, connected systems and wider supply chain integrity.
Ronan Callan added:
“Cyber Essentials Plus is more than an IT accreditation; it reflects how modern engineering and manufacturing businesses must operate responsibly in an increasingly connected world. As Exact Group continues to grow and expand into new markets, maintaining the trust of our customers and partners remains central to everything we do.”
