The move follows a £6 million investment and plans to triple turnover by 2028
Instil, the Belfast software engineering firm founded in 2005, has restructured its business around AI and is now operating as a fully AI-native consultancy.
As AI redefines how software is being built, Instil made a call to rebuild around it, restructuring delivery teams, redesigning how work gets done and embedding AI across every discipline in the business.
People remain accountable for outcomes. Teams define the problems, shape the solutions and make the calls that matter. AI handles the execution, operating continuously and at scale. Together, they deliver faster, better outcomes for customers than either could alone.
Paddy O’Hagan, CEO of Instil, said:
"We rebuilt how Instil operates because software delivery is fundamentally changing. The organisations that adopt early and commit fully are the ones that will gain advantage. The outcomes for our clients are already evident - delivery timelines accelerating by up to 40 percent, lower delivery costs, accelerated roadmaps and the confidence to move faster and commit with more ambition."
The repositioning builds directly on Instil’s growth strategy. In 2025 the company announced a £6 million investment and plans to create 100 new jobs, with a target to triple turnover by 2028. Becoming AI-native is central to that strategy, positioning Instil to compete for larger and more complex engagements across the UK and US, particularly in fintech and regulated markets.
