Young Enterprise Northern Ireland is delighted to announce EY as the Lead Sponsor of the Young Enterprise Awards 2026, celebrating the achievements, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of young people who have taken part in Young Enterprise programmes in schools across Northern Ireland.

The annual Young Enterprise Awards recognise outstanding student teams who have demonstrated innovation, teamwork and resilience through practical enterprise education. The 2026 awards will showcase the breadth of talent emerging from classrooms across the region and highlight the important role enterprise education plays in preparing young people for the world of work.

EY’s lead sponsorship reflects its continued commitment to supporting young people, skills development and economic growth across Northern Ireland. Through its partnership with Young Enterprise, EY is helping to inspire the next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs by providing opportunities for young people to develop confidence, commercial awareness and essential life skills.

Jonathan Williamson, Chief Operating Officer at EY said:

“At EY, we are passionate about building a better working world and about supporting and celebrating entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey, from early start‑ups through to some of Northern Ireland’s most established businesses. That commitment starts with the next generation to help them succeed. Young Enterprise plays a vital role in giving students practical insight into how businesses work and helping them build an entrepreneurial mindset at an early stage. We are proud to be the Lead Sponsor of the Young Enterprise Awards 2026 and to celebrate the remarkable creativity, determination and talent of young people across Northern Ireland.”

During the awards evening, young people will also hear directly from Young Enterprise alumni, including Jason Wong, who will share his journey since taking part in the programme. Jason will reflect on how his Young Enterprise experience helped build his confidence, develop key employability skills and shape his career path, demonstrating the long‑term impact enterprise education can have on young people’s progression and success.

Carol Fitzsimons, MBE, Chief Executive of Young Enterprise Northern Ireland, welcomed EY’s support:

“We are incredibly grateful to EY for their valuable support as Lead Sponsor of the Young Enterprise Awards 2026. Partnerships like this are crucial in enabling us to deliver high‑quality enterprise education in schools and to recognise the outstanding achievements of the young people we work with. EY’s commitment makes a real difference to helping young people develop the confidence and skills they need to thrive.”

The Young Enterprise Awards 2026 will bring together students, teachers, volunteers and business leaders to celebrate success and share inspiring stories from across Northern Ireland’s schools. Winners will go on to represent Northern Ireland at UK‑wide competitions, further showcasing the talent and potential of young people from the region.
