LIBERTY IT has announced the launch of a culture-led initiative that celebrates what makes the company truly unique - its people.
The industry leader in digital innovation has launched a new Culture Playbook and introduced a Culture Stars programme reflecting its belief that ‘the product is tech, the power is people’, a principle that sits at the core of everything the company does.
Emma Mullan, Senior Director of Talent at Liberty IT said: “Culture at Liberty IT isn’t a side note - it’s our foundation. It’s what makes our people feel supported, included and empowered to bring their best selves to work. It’s also what drives high performance, collaboration and innovation across the business. However, like many organisations often find, it can often be hard putting that culture into words. Feedback from our teams told us they wanted us to talk about our culture more, to help them feel better connected to the bigger picture.
The new Culture Playbook is a direct result of listening to our people and reflects the conversations, ideas and insights gathered across our teams. It has been created from real employee stories and honest feedback. The Playbook captures who we are - an organisation that is inclusive, innovative and supportive. It’s very much a reflection of how every individual plays a role in shaping our shared culture and driving the future of Liberty IT.”

The Culture Playbook has been structured across six cultural pillars - ‘Be part of the big picture’, ‘Be here, change here’, ‘Be inspired’, ‘Be challenged. Be challenging’, ‘Be Brilliant’ and ‘Be Yourself’ - and brings to life the values and mindsets that make Liberty IT distinctive, dynamic and people-powered.
“As part of this initiative, we also introduced Culture Stars, a peer-selected recognition programme, inviting employees to nominate colleagues who exemplify what makes Liberty IT a special place to work. We enhanced the nomination process using LibertyGPT - our internal generative AI tool. Employees could make use of a trained GPT assistant to help create their wording, based on the Culture Playbook contents, removing any potential barriers to making a submission.
Our Culture Stars are everyday champions who reflect our culture - role models of what it means to lead with empathy, think creatively and uplift others. In the months ahead we’re looking forward to shining a light on their stories - real moments of connection, leadership and innovation that bring our culture to life,” Emma concluded.
