Big Data Belfast 2025 is set to welcome Michael Willis, Partner at PwC, where he leads on Legal Technology and Managed Services. Michael works with global organisations to explore how artificial intelligence is transforming legal work. From contract management and legal data to regulatory compliance - and what this means for the future of the legal profession.
In his session, “The End of Lawyers? Or Just the Beginning?”, Michael will examine how AI is reshaping the role of lawyers and legal teams. AI presents both disruption and opportunity delivering legal services more efficiently, transparently and with greater focus on business outcomes.
Michael’s team specialises in the design, build, and testing of agentic AI workflows, deploying them into large-scale production environments for remediation programmes and business-as-usual operations. This includes supporting claims workflows and redress programmes, where AI powers customer outreach at scale, as well as counterparty outreach in investment banking, enabling clients to manage complex legal and regulatory obligations with speed and consistency.
