Avove and Aqua Consultants announce strategic partnership

  • Environmental consultancy, Aqua Consultants, has entered a five-year strategic partnership with Avove, a leading provider of non-infrastructure, infrastructure and engineering services, enhancing its strategic approach to design and engineering.

Through a combination of technical and delivery excellence, the collaboration provides access to deep sector expertise, allowing the partnership to deliver high-value, tailored solutions across water and environmental sectors. As such, it will provide an agile and responsive service environment for clients, utilising structured yet flexible approaches across key service areas to drive innovation and deliver measurable value in a rapidly evolving market.

Within this partnership, Aqua Consultants and Avove will drive efficiencies and value engineering within design services for non-infrastructure projects across both clean and wastewater. These include complex Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs), storm overflow schemes, and all non-infrastructure treatment works investments, offering agility and scaling up opportunities across Avove’s frameworks.

Having secured two significant design and build frameworks for AMP8, Avove’s expansive portfolio includes key programmes as an Enterprise Design and Construct partner for United Utilities, building on the successful work initiated within the Severn Trent Design and Build LOT 1 framework.

Meanwhile, Aqua Consultants is supporting a variety of initiatives, including the Seven Trent Design and Build Lot 1 project in partnership with Avove. This project involves feasibility, outline and detailed design for MCERTS flow monitoring across nine sites, ensuring full compliance with Severn Trent’s technical and regulatory standards, whilst collaborating to identify best-value solutions for future schemes.

The partnership marks a key milestone for Avove, strengthening its position as a leading delivery partner in the UK water sector whilst continuing its commitment to innovation. Together, both companies will address key environmental challenges, including nutrient removal and storm overflows, delivering meaningful value through enhanced collaboration and consultation.

Ben Shearer, Managing Director at Aqua Consultants, said: “We are really excited to have agreed this strategic partnership with Avove, a powerhouse infrastructure services and engineering

company. It is a real statement of intent and recognition of our capability and experience. I am looking forward to the next stage in our journey as we evolve alongside the industry, building a long-term effective relationship with this key client.
