Women in AI (WAI), the global non-profit community working toward gender-inclusive artificial intelligence, is proud to announce the appointment of Naomh McElhatton as the new Irish Ambassador.
A seasoned business leader, innovator, and advocate for women in technology, Naomh brings with her a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to empowering women across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland to thrive in AI and data-driven industries.
As Ambassador, Naomh will spearhead initiatives to:
- Strengthen networks for women in AI across the island of Ireland.
- Champion diversity and inclusion in AI research, education, and industry.
- Promote opportunities for young women and girls to explore careers in STEM and emerging technologies.
- Collaborate with academic institutions, industry partners, and policymakers to shape a more equitable AI ecosystem.

Women in AI has grown into a worldwide network with more than 18,000 members across 150 countries, united by the mission of bridging the gender gap in AI. With Naomh’s leadership, the Irish chapter will continue to expand its reach, building mentorship programmes, events, and partnerships that inspire the next generation of female AI leaders.
