  • TIKOS, a provider of AI Assurance software and services, today announced its successful appointment to two key UK government procurement frameworks, positioning the company to support the safe and responsible adoption of artificial intelligence across the public sector.

The company has been named as an approved supplier on the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) 'Artificial Intelligence Dynamic Purchasing System' (AI DPS). The AI DPS is the primary procurement vehicle for public sector bodies to source AI services from a pre-qualified roster of fewer than 500 best-in-class providers. Tikos’s inclusion followed an in-depth application and review process, validating its capability to help government agencies adhere to the principles of Trustworthy AI.

This approval aligns with the UK Government's 'AI Opportunities Action Plan', which targets £20 billion in public sector savings over the next decade through the adoption of AI technologies, guided by the government's AI Regulatory Principles.

In a concurrent development, TIKOS has also been approved to provide its solutions directly to the Ministry of Defence (MoD) through the Neutral Vendor Framework for Innovation (NVFi). This framework offers a faster, compliant procurement route for bringing critical AI innovation into the defence and security sector, ensuring alignment with Public Procurement Regulations and stringent Defence Security Standards.

Mike Oaten, CEO of TIKOS, commented on the appointments:

"Being appointed to both the CCS AI Dynamic Purchasing System and the MoD’s Neutral Vendor Framework for Innovation is a significant milestone for TIKOS. It validates our expertise in testing and evaluating AI models and systems and our commitment to the UK Government's principles of safe, ethical, and trustworthy AI. Public bodies now have a streamlined and compliant route to access our solutions, enabling them to accelerate their AI adoption, unlock efficiencies, and deliver better public services while maintaining the highest standards of assurance and responsibility."

TIKOS's software and services provide the essential governance layer for AI systems, enabling organisations to ensure their AI applications are explainable, robust, and auditable. This is critical for accelerating the safe deployment of AI to achieve strategic benefits across all government functions.
