Northern Ireland Students Nominated for Royal Television Society National Awards

    Two Northern Ireland productions by students from Queen’s University Belfast have made the shortlist for the prestigious Royal Television Society (RTS) National Student Awards which will be held in London 13 June, 2025.

    That’s News to Me by students from the QUB BA Media & Broadcast Production course has been nominated in the Undergraduate Journalism category.  In the Postgraduate Factual Short Form category, graduate Philip Denver from the QUB MA Media & Broadcast Production course made the national shortlist for his film Leave Only Footprints.

    Sarah McCaffrey, Chair of RTS NI said: “This significant achievement truly highlights the hard work and passion of these talented student filmmakers. It's a fantastic opportunity for them to gain national recognition alongside the very best student work from across the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.”

    The RTS National Student Awards ceremony will be held on Friday 13 June at the IET, Savoy Place in London.
