Taking place at The Black Box, Hill Street, Belfast, this interactive competition will challenge participants to think like attackers, equipping them with the skills to identify vulnerabilities, anticipate threats and build more secure software.
Unlike traditional security training, Instil’s CTF places attendees in the mindset of real-world threat actors. Guided by expert security trainers and penetration testers, participants will navigate live security challenges, uncovering how attackers exploit software weaknesses—and, more importantly, how to defend against them.
Designed to bridge the gap between theory and real-world application, this team-based event fosters collaboration in a high-energy, competition-driven environment.
Attendees will have the opportunity to:
Think like an attacker – Gain insights into real-world hacking techniques to proactively mitigate threats.
Identify and fix vulnerabilities – Strengthen secure-by-design principles in software development.
Enhance security confidence – Learn to write, test, and deploy secure code with greater assurance.
Compete for the top spot – The highest-scoring team will be crowned Instil CTF Champions, earning bragging rights and the coveted Instil trophy.
"At Instil, we're passionate about bringing developers together to deepen their understanding of security.
