The exceptional businesswomen of Northern Ireland will be celebrated at 2024’s Women in Business Awards when the showpiece ceremony returns with a new awards category in March.
Now in its 12th year, the Awards, sponsored by Virgin Media O2 Business, are an annual celebration of the outstanding achievements of female business leaders and will take place at Belfast’s Crowne Plaza Hotel on Thursday, 7th March 2024.
Businesswomen from all sectors will come together to recognise, reward and celebrate the very best of local talent at the only ceremony of its kind in Northern Ireland. New to the Women in Business honours for 2024 is an award for ‘Outstanding Apprentice’, which will recognise an outstanding woman currently undertaking any type of apprenticeship programme while demonstrating exemplary effort, commitment, and achievement.

Women in Business Managing Director, Lorraine Acheson, commented: “More and more women are shaping the future of business in Northern Ireland every year. At the Women in Business Awards, we showcase the amazing talent of businesswomen locally so they may inspire and encourage not just those around them, but the leaders and role models of tomorrow.
“We look forward to championing the talent and dedication of women who have achieved great success over the past 12 months, particularly in our newly introduced ‘Outstanding Apprentice’ category which will also recognise employers for demonstrating best practice and inspire other businesses to get involved. Following last year’s record attendance, I would warmly encourage women to nominate themselves or a colleague, before the 12 noon deadline on Monday 22nd January, 2024.”
The Awards recognise businesswomen from a diverse range of disciplines through 13 categories. Hosted again by long-time Women in Business advocate Pamela Ballantine, the past 11 events have seen winners from a wide range of sectors including media, tourism, technology and the public sector.
