Housing provider Housing 21 is set to transform services for residents, employees and stakeholders by bringing in a new Civica cloud platform. Cx Housing cloud software will make it easier for residents, employees and stakeholders to interact with the organisation.
The organisation will implement Civica’s Cx Housing Management platform in a five-year agreement.
Housing 21 is a leading, not-for-profit provider of Retirement Living and Extra Care properties for older people of modest means. It operates in 240 local authority areas, managing more than 22,600 Retirement Living and Extra Care properties and providing over 38,000 hours of social care each week.

The organisation runs a devolved model with local managers running their schemes and managing individual apartments and communal areas. It sought a single platform which was simple and quick to use for resident-facing employees, to allow them to spend more time with residents.
Housing 21 will replace multiple systems into one highly configurable platform, enabling a single view of all residents and improved data sharing. Employees will have more timely data to hand, speeding up analysis and real time reporting to be more proactive and use the information to improve services and evaluate future requirements.
The implementation is part of a wider digital transformation project, Transform 21, reviewing how the organisation works as a whole and providing the best possible resident and employee journey.
Gordon Bourne, Head of Business Systems at Housing 21 said: “Our residents are at the heart of everything we do and every decision we make. Via our new partnership with Civica, we are aiming to make it easier for everyone to do business with us – from our residents to our employees and other stakeholders.
“The Cx platform will help us build a single view across all our properties and data, and support people’s journey with us – offering convenient digital ways for them to get in touch. It will also enable our court managers to spend more time with residents and support their needs, ensuring the best service delivery by allowing their skills to be utilised.”
Michelle Tyler, Divisional Managing Director, Social Housing at Civica added: “We’re delighted to be helping Housing 21 move to the next level, using our smart cloud technology to be more proactive and meet the needs of an increasing number of residents across the UK. Our platform is scalable to meet the needs of the organisation both today and into the future as it continues to serve the needs of older people in our communities.”
