According to Immerse UK, the Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality economy is set to reach a spending value of £130 Billion by 2023 and PWC estimates around 400,000 jobs impacted by this technology by 2030.
This new, innovative course has been devised based on this need and includes the traditional Interactive Media content of sound, video, graphics, and animation, and builds upon this with the inclusion of immersive tools such as augmented reality devices and virtual reality systems being the development focus.
The course is an intensive, practical and skill focused program. It is built to provide students with the skills to develop and create modern interactive projects, along with immersive experiences in Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality. Core areas assessed will be based around informing ideas, problem solving, technical skills, professional practice, and communication
Over the two years on the course, you will work on several projects, focusing on interactive content, as well as an Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality experience.

During your time on the course, you will be given access to high end development workstations, Augmented Reality devices, Virtual Reality systems, 360 Capable VR cameras, DSLR/Video Cameras, and sound production/lighting equipment as part of the projects you work on.
This course is assessed through 100% coursework and is equivalent to three A Levels in size.
