On 24th March, Rakuten Blockchain Lab hosted visitors from the Japanese Embassies in Dublin & London. The informal discussion centred around the Rakuten experience of setting up the lab here in Belfast as well as what it is like for a Belfast based team work with a global company headquartered in Tokyo. The visitors were also keen to hear thoughts on what both Brexit and the political instability in Stormont might mean for our business. The visitors seen in the photograph are:
Ms. Rosanna JACKSON – Researcher, Economic Section, Embassy of Japan, London
Midori YAMAMITSU – Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Japan, Dublin
Hiroshi MATSUURA – Economic Minister, Embassy of Japan, London
Kotoha ITAKURA – Second Secretary, Political Section, Embassy of Japan, Dublin
Fergal Downey - VP of Engineering at the Rakuten Blockchain Lab
