  • Coders and student developers are set to descend upon PwC Google Innovation Labs for a marathon hackathon next Saturday hosted by Nigma and Women Who Code.

    With the theme of ‘Making Northern Ireland Better’, the event known as #HacktheHub gives contestants 12 hours to create, build and hack together solutions that aim to solve some of the real-world problems that Northern Ireland faces today.  The competitors will then demonstrate their prototype to well-known figures from the ICT community with a range of prizes on offer for the top solutions. As well as cash prizes, participants can win spot prizes including a tablet from leading global ICT solutions company Fujitsu who are supporting the event.

    Sinead Dillon, Principal Consultant, Fujitsu said;

    “Fujitsu is delighted to support #HacktheHub as its commitment to innovation, problem solving and inclusion is reflective of our own ethos.  With ‘Making Northern Ireland Better’ as its theme, the hackathon is set to be a stimulating event and we look forward to seeing how participants develop their technical prowess to create real-life solutions.”
