  • Ulster Bank has teamed up with 6 charities in Northern Ireland for ‘One Week in June’, the bank’s flagship initiative to raise funds for great causes. From bake-offs to hill walking, relay runs to band battles, staff in every corner of Ireland are involved.

The ‘One Week in June’ campaign is the highlight of a wide variety of Ulster Bank initiatives which underline the organisation’s ongoing support for the not for profit sector.

Commenting on the initiative Ellvena Graham, Head of Ulster Bank Northern Ireland, said:

“Our staff are making a huge effort to make this year’s ‘One Week in June’ campaign a success. There are funding raising events happening in every Ulster Bank branch and office in Ireland and we are confident of raising a significant sum of money for our partner charities. Community involvement is very important to Ulster Bank and we are delighted to partner with so many organisations who work tirelessly in our local communities.”

One Week in June supports Ulster Bank’s 14 charity partners (six in Northern Ireland I & eight in the Republic) and all areas support the same campaign. Funds raised are shared equally amongst the charities. Ulster Bank customers can also support the initiative by donating at any Ulster Bank ATM and online through Ulster Bank’s Anytime Banking service.

As part of Ulster Bank’s continuing support for community organisations, its Community Impact fund will also make £250,000 available community based organisations throughout Ireland. Applications for this year’s fund have closed and the awards will be announced in September. The money will be awarded for work in enterprise creation, financial education and employability initiatives.
